It’s our 4th day here and so far, I am half way through my list of things to eat. Perhaps the greatest accomplishment I’ve ever done was to zipline at Dahilayan Adventure Park. Yes, I conquered Asia’s longest dual zipline. My closest friends and family all know that I have serious fear of heights, so this is quite an accomplishment. Horray!

I have not gone to the Del Monte golf club, though. It’s really one of the places I really want to go when I am home. I don’t know how to play golf and I don’t have one of those corporate golf balls, but I just enjoy watching a game and eating at their restaurant. They have the best beef steak!

Our family should plan to eat there on our way to Cagayan de Oro. I wouldn’t miss it for the world!

So we bought him toys that improved his psychomotor skills. He liked it, and even pretended to be a mechanic fixing a machine or something. Pretty soon it was noticeable that his psychomotor skills have greatly improved.
Toys like these are ideal– we bought him lego, too.  Aside from developing his psychomotor skills, he also had fun imagining what to make:  cars, houses, towers, etc. At his age of 6, we are also trying to teach him how to be patient and do things systematically. I am sure jigsaw puzzles would help him, so we might look for those in the Philippines. Boardgames would also be fun for him and for the family, too.

Today we did some last minute shopping of things to give to special friends and family. It’s tough when you want to give everybody presents—which is impossible, by the way. We just bought some special Thai delicacies and not some funny t shirts since our budget does not allow us.
Ok, got to rest now… tomorrow is going to be the Day. I can’t wait!

I always got flowers and got to watch kids’ presentations in our home church in the Philippines, so I am so looking forward to celebrating Mothers’ Day there. Mom’s Day is also celebrated here in Thailand, except that they do it in time for the Queen’s Birthday, so they changed the original date.

I find that it’s a very fitting song to honor moms. I hope to give my mama a bouquet of flowers. If purple orchids are not available, I am sure she would love a bundle of roses!

This will not be a purely holiday trip, so we should manage our 5-week visit well. I have to put our house makeover on hold for now, because we have lots of things to take care of before we go.

For now our little house has this little sofa– the only one, but I hope to get a furniture set, hopefully with p kaufmann fabric. Sigh. I really want that furniture set that bad, but our budget does not allow us everytime. So again, I say to myself… “Save up, save up!”

What fascinated me was how creative they are with their metal building structures. I love it! Their designs are so unique—and those bridges look stunning, too. I will definitely tell friends who are planning to visit Bangkok about this experience. I would not mind being their tour guide, too! I love the food, the cool evening breeze and the music! It was definitely an ultimate Bangkok experience.

I have yet to upload the photos yet, though.  Meantime, you can enjoy this photo I took on top of the Baiyoke Tower, Thailand’s tallest building.  It was amazing to see great structures, the bustling city and those lights from up there!

For those who are so into the body building thing would not mind the seemingly endless trips to the gym just to have those abs and biceps of their dreams!

Of course we all know that those muscles do not just grow there without that much effort, right? But to be realistic about it, myoripped reviews are worth reading because aside from discipline, good diet, enough rest and going to the gym, bodybuilders still need supplements to get those bulging muscles.
So if you are an aspiring Mr. Universe, you might like to read those reviews. Good luck!

It’s still too early to tell its gender, so we decided to name it Mocha because of its color (mixture of brown and white)

I guess this is a perfect picture of a “rat race”- Haha!

We hope to have more hamsters soon, but not that many!  We heard they are really prolific– maybe just enough for the kids to feed and have fun with after a day at school.

The kids still love to have dogs, but we think that it’s too impractical to have dogs as pets for now.  Our birds are doing perfectly fine– should blog about them soon!

The best part?  Another musician is officially added to the family.  Ria plays the violin, and although she quit studying it formally, she is obviously very talented and gifted musically.

So here is a sample of our informal “jamming session” last Sunday. I took the video while singing, so it’s a bit shaky.

Our orange house– pretty, isn’t it?  It is a two-storey town home, with two rooms on the second floor.  What we like about living in this house is it’s very close to the department store, to the bus stop and it has a quiet, lovely neighborhood.

Its space is just enough for our things, too.  So hopefully, there will be no more house transfers for us in the next 3 to 5 years!

Housing subdivisions (moobans) like these are very common in Thailand.  The rent would range from 5,500-8,000 THB if you are in Bangkok, and from 2,800- 3,500 in the provinces.

Our new house does not have an aircon for now– at first we were really doubtful we could go on for a month without it, but we managed to survive (LOL!).  The best part about not having an aircon is that we did not have to pay anything for our electric bill for the past month because our bill was just less than 300 THB.  When we saw the bill, we thought, “Who needs an aircon?.”  Ha!
